Last week, we held the first Pacific Rim Innovation Conference. This inaugural conference brought together scholars working on economic, managerial and legal aspects of innovation. The goal was to foster an inter-disciplinary exchange of knowledge. Sessions included contributed papers, panel discussions and keynote presentations.
The conference focused on the effectiveness of the IP system, markets for technology, the strategic management of R&D, government innovation policies, and managing key challenges of the 21st Century. The event was organised by the Intellectual Property Research Institute of Australia at the University of Melbourne, with support from the Institute of Innovation Research (Hitotsubashi University), the National University of Singapore Business School, the University of Auckland Business School and the IP Academy, Singapore. The event was sponsored by IP Australia.
Copies of the presentations will be uploaded shortly to the conference website.
